Mother & Daughter Class

We had another Mother & Daughter class last weekend where we made some fun Halloween projects I wanted to share!

First is a cute treat basket box I made to take to friends for Halloween. It's made with the Sizzix Big Shot envelope die, cut out four times. It's so fun! Thanks to Patty Bennett for the idea! You can click on the photo to see the picture better.

Next is the Frankenstein bags we made at the class using punches and the top note Sizzix die. Thanks to Cambria Turnbow's blog for this cute idea!

Lastly we used the Chills and Thrills rub-ons on these cute pails from the dollar spot at Target. We added ribbons, M&M's and crinkly paper for a really cute gift!
*
The kids enjoyed using the liquid applique to make Halloween cards, that's always a hit. Then, thanks to an idea from Dawn Reilly's blog, we made these coaster frames, which is a bi-fold frame that stands up and you put Halloween photos on it. (Mine doesn't have photos yet!) It's made using coasters. So cute! Then the kids did these cute skeleton cards (this one is Kaylie's) using skeleton paper and stamps! Use a sponge dauber on white ink on the skeleton to omit the words!! You get a whole new use for the stamp!
Sunday Kaylie and I did another card challenge...this time it was to use pink pirouette paper and the Top Note Sizzix Die. Here are our cards:

Mine: Flower Fusion and Flower Fusion Too, Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Sweet Always DSPaper, Birthday Stamp Set, Silver Brads
Kaylies: Scallop punch, Happy Hearts Set, Background Basics and Chocolate Chip Marker
And from our challenge 3 weeks ago....any card using the square scallop punch and pretty in pink and chocolate chip and white color scheme!

Kaylie: Scalloped edge punch, scallop square punch, designer label punch, flower punch, circle punches, family greetings and hostess set
Mine:Punches Three set, All in the Family set, Neighborhood Wheel, Scallop square punch

Recycled Swap Cards!

Well over the past few years I've done A LOT of card swapping! Last weekend I went through and took some of my swap cards that were retired and made them into cards! As many of you know the swap cards I use are just card fronts. So instead I re-layered them and made them complete cards!! Now I have another dozen or so cards in my card file. I need to do this every month or so and I'd really add a lot to my collection! So there you have your tip of the day!

October Stamping...

I taught stamping in Kaylie's 4th grade class yesterday! The kids had a great time.

*Happy Boo cards using Booglie Eyes (retired) set, puffy paints and the embossing tool, the kids had a great time with this!! Look at his big eyes!!
*Then cased from SCS is the cute spider idea with the punches and york peppermint patties! Kaylie ran this station for her class...they had a great time!
*I took my new Top Note Bigz Die and let the kids stamp and cut out their own topper for their candy bag. Then they used the Halloween stamps to cover up the staple. They loved this!!

Last night I had Stampin' Club too so I used my new Scallop Envelope Die and the new Green Tea paper to make this fun card. It's a 5 by 5 card that has a little thank you card in the pocket...
Then the inside of the card has some more DSP and another area to write. I just loved using the new Sixxiz Die!! Thanks to Patty Bennett for the inspiration for this card!

Sunday Punches Challenge

Kaylie, Cameron and I did a punches challenge yesterday. Cameron did a cute bug card using the large circle punch and the paper crimper. We didn't look at each other making the cards till we were all done! It was fun to see what everyone created!

Kaylie's card is this cute frog card...she got the idea from a card I taught last year at a class..but she used different punches and made it her own! SO cute..I love the big eyes and the tongue..that is so cute! And don't you love her fly? It's so creative!

My idea is very fun, but no, it was not my idea! I got the idea from the new Stampin' Success magazine they send to demonstrators! The whole turkey was made using punches though...really fun. Even his feet are made using the flower punch from Boho Blossoms! Some creative folds with the scallop punch and 'presto'! You have a cute Thanksgiving card!!

Happy Halloween...

My new Halloween stamps arrived this week! *Click on any photo to see details*

Here I used Basic Grey (my new fav color!) with the Kiwi Kiss Ribbon I just got! I sponged the edges with white which was a spooky touch...these images are from the new Eat Drink & Be Scary Set.

Here's another card using the fun new Ghostly Greetings paper and new stamps!
This one was so fun...i inked the DSP with white ink and then cut out the black cat from Halloween Frights. Add some grey taffeta ribbon and some rhinestone brads on top of the layered corner punches and it's such a fun 5 by 5 cards! Getting me in the mood for Halloween...

Mother & Daughter Halloween Challenge

We're at it again...one of our weekend challenges. Here I challenged Kaylie to make a Halloween card using black, orange and some of the new Stamps and DSP (Designer Series Paper)

This top card is Heidi's card...using the fun new Halloween Frights Stamp Set (Holiday Mini), Ghostly Greetings DSP, and grey taffeta ribbon! Fun!

Here is Kaylie's great card! I love how she layered the circle punch on top of the new square scallop punch! So fun!
Heidi's second card...using the same set paired with the Batty For You...don't you love the white craft ink! This card uses the new Tangerine Tango color ribbon and cardstock!
Kaylie's very creative card...she used some old DSP that had a spiderweb on it..if you look closely the torn black paper is a web and the spider is hanging from it!! Then she used the new stamps as well..so creative and fun!

Welcome to Inkspiration by Heidi

This blog is going to be dedicated to my fun stamping projects!! That way I can easily post my creations for my friends and family to enjoy, without having to scroll through all the family posts....and my family can view the family blog without having to read all the details of my stamping posts! So I think this will work out well! Enjoy the Inkspiration!

This is a baby card I made with the new Muirfield Paper, the Nursery Necessities Stamp set and the White Taffeta Ribbon. I love the non-traditional baby colors...(Baja Breeze, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White)
Last week I taught Young Women's and we made these fun coaster accordion cards. On the front the girls stamped and did some rub-ons...boy did they go nuts with the rub-ons!!
The coaster book opens up to reveal a message and some wallet sized photos (easy to do at Costco.com)..
The end result is a tri-fold accordion style photo card that can fit in a regular envelope! An awesome idea for a Holiday card or a special occasion! =)
